Do I really need this much stuff for the hospital?

A lot of what you need depends on your hospital. During the maternity ward tour they should let you know what they provide. For example, my hospital gives you a bag that has pads, underwear, a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant.....etc. So find out what your hospital will provide and pack accordingly.
