Democartic Primaries - Why Delegates and not Popular Votes?

Im watching the Democratic Primaries (go Obama). Im just curious why do they have delegates when they could just use popular votes and who ever gets the most at the very end (all states accounted for), is the winner?

I had a consultation and they said I should wait if I plan on having any more kids. Personally I can afford it. The issue is this is something that has me down. I decided to feed. So losing 30 pounds and feeding for 1 year did bad things. Luckily I dont care about my stretch marks but... my they sag. I have a bf of 1 year an hes 19... of course he wants kids in the future. I agree with you completely. and lets not forget things like blood clotting if this was something that was a skill we evolved how would we have done this, the first person to get cut would have bled to death how could his children if he lived long enough to have any, have learned to develop the complex system that involves blood clotting. just one of may reasons Evolution has more holes than swiss cheese.
